In Thoughtful Tribute
HUSSEY, Donald George
May 2, 1954 - February 17, 2020
Don passed away peacefully on February 17, 2020 surrounded by his loving wife and children. Don contracted a serious bacterial infection while vacationing in Hawaii in January 2020. Despite Don's valiant efforts to overcome the disease and the excellent medical care in Maui and Edmonton, the infection was just too severe. Our hearts are broken. Don is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn, his cherished children Lauren, Jillian (Marco), Matthew and Madeleine, his dear brother Brian (Stephanie), and a large, caring extended family of relatives, neighbours, friends and teammates. He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Robert, and his brother Bruce.
A memorial service to celebrate Don's life will be held on March 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Timothy's Anglican Church, 8420 145 St NW, Edmonton. In the meantime, the family asks for patience and privacy as we mourn this unexpected and profound loss.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Canterbury Foundation, Edmonton, www.canterburyfoundation.ca, the Edmonton Nature Centres Foundation, or to a charity of your choice.
